The Womack Sisters
Part of an exceptionally rich musical bloodline, the Womack Sisters are a contemporary R&B vocal trio. They made their commercial debut in the late 2010s and have reintroduced themselves in the 2020s with a sound that is more modern yet still rooted in classic soul. Their self-titled first EP was released in 2022.
BG, Zeimani, and Kucha are the daughters of Linda and Cecil Womack (aka Womack & Womack), and therefore the granddaughters of Sam Cooke and the nieces of Bobby Womack. At a young age, they were performing and touring as background vocalists for their parents, but it wasn't until 2017 that they stepped into the spotlight with the bubbly "Darling," a retro pop-soul single they wrote and issued themselves. Four years later, they returned with "Blocked." The dreamier (if even more assured) single arrived in November 2021 with the announcement of the Womack Sisters' forthcoming self-titled EP, released six months later.
