Rxk Nephew

Rapper RXK Nephew is known for his aggressive, unhinged rhyming styles as well as his impossibly prolific release rate, which typically exceeds hundreds of songs per year. His unfiltered, rant-like lyrics often center around conspiracy theories, ranging in subject from Area 51 cover-ups to the results of the 2020 U.S. presidential election, while also including absurdly violent threats and outlandish insults directed at fellow rappers and celebrities. Nephew often makes tracks using paid beat submissions from producers, and he's rhymed over a broad spectrum of styles and genres, from trap and plugg to Baltimore club, drum'n'bass, Latin freestyle, and metalcore. His staggering output is difficult to keep track of, but his most acclaimed releases include the 2020 mixtape Crack Therapy 3, the dance-heavy 2021 full-length Slitherman Activated, and 2023's Till I’m Dead, his first album with a single producer (Rx Brainstorm). Kristopher Kevon Williams was born in Rochester, New York and raised by his grandmother. Though he had dabbled in music as a hobby and rapped under variations of the name Brisko Slice, he didn't take it seriously until after he served a prison sentence, followed by several years of parole. He started uploading songs and videos as Rx Nephew in 2017, later amending the moniker to RXK Nephew (sometimes written as RXKNephew). 2019 brought collaborations with Rx Papi, another prolific rapper from Rochester, as well as two albums named after Nephew's demonic-voiced alter ego, Slitherman. Over a dozen albums and mixtapes appeared in 2020, and Nephew started to gain more attention by the end of the year, particularly for the tracks "Slither Conspiracy" and the ten-minute epic "American Tterroristt" (from the mixtape Crack Therapy 3). Releases such as Slither Link Up and Bro Ham featured guest verses by Nephew's sister, Slitherher. The 2021 album Slitherman Activated appeared on club label Towhead Records, and included production by Color Plus, Black Noi$e, DJ Swisha, and Kanyon. Other well-received Nephew releases during the year included Make Drunk Cool Again and Shawty RXK Too 2. His 2022 output included two volumes each of On the Run from Area 51 and GTA House in the Hills. Studio album Till I’m Dead, produced entirely by Rx Brainstorm, appeared in early 2023; its title and cover art pay tribute to the Notorious B.I.G.'s 1994 debut, Ready to Die.
