Raja Hasan

Born December 25, 1982 in Bikaner, Rajasthan, Raja Hasan has been active as an Indian playback singer since becoming a finalist on the Indian television singing competition Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge in 2007. He recorded his first song, "Maari Teetri" (for 2008 Indian comedy De Taali) under the tutelage of mentors Vishal-Shekhar: a Mumbai-based music composer, production, singing, and songwriting duo comprising Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani. Raja Hasan has since picked up singing credits for a genre-spanning mix of films, including the 2014 Indian action film Gurjar Aandolan, for which he sang "Gurjar Aandolan sare aam karenge", the 2017 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, for which he sang "Kankad", hard-hitting Indian Hindi-language crime thriller The Pushkar Lodge (2019), for which he sang "Padharo Rajasthan", and 2020's Mere Angne Mein, also singing for numerous Telugu, Gujarati, Odia, Telugu, Bengali, Rajasthani, and Bhojpuri titles. In 2021, he became a judge on the singing competition show Voice of Shekhawati.
