Lost Witness

British electronic artist Lost Witness (aka DJ Si Paul) is known for his dance-oriented trance productions. Lost Witness first garnered attention in the late '90s, scoring a string of U.K. charting singles, including "Happiness Happening" and "Red Sun Rising" (with Tracy Carmen). More chart attention followed in the 2000s with "7 Colours" and "Home" (with Tiff Lacey). Along with his in-demand DJ work, Lost Witness has kept the classic trance sound alive, releasing club favorites like 2019's "Sewn," 2020's "Carry Me Home," and 2022's "Civil War." Hailing from the U.K., Simon Paul (or Si Paul as he is also known) began DJing as Lost Witness in the '90s. In 1999, he released two singles on Ministry of Sound, "Happiness Happening" and "Red Sun Rising" (with Tracy Carmen), which hit 18 and 22, respectively, on the U.K. singles charts. More Top 30 tracks followed, including "7 Colours" and "Did I Dream (Song to the Siren)." He also reached the Top 100 with 2005's "Wait for You" (with Andrea Britton) and "Home" (with Tiff Lacey). Paul stayed busy throughout the 2010s DJing and putting out tracks, including a 2010 re-release of "Red Sun Rising" with vocals by Andrea Britton, 2011's "Fade Away," and 2013's "Fly" (with Sugababes singer Jade Ewen). After an extended period of DJ work around the globe, Paul returned as Lost Witness with 2019's "Sewn" and followed with a series of singles for Amsterdam Trance, including "Golden" (with Pierre Pienaar and Tracy Carmen), "Crashing into Love," and "This Dream" (with Kate Louise Smith)." He also delivered "Carry Me Home" (with Laura-Ly), a trance anthem that harked back to his classic work and garnered plenty of club attention. Paul has continued to release a steady stream of tracks, including 2022's "Civil War" (with Michael G. Moore), "Lateott," and "It's OK" (with Phoebe).
