Paru en mai 1972, ce live fut enregistré au Max's Kansas City de New York le 23 août 1970. Un disque plus culte qu’autre chose. Comprenez, le premier témoignage en concert du Velvet et non une performance audiophile et musicale démentielle… Le magnéto était en fait tenu par Brigid Polk, égérie d'Andy Warhol qui ne pensait pas que les bandes seraient commercialisées un jour… Le Velvet est ici en fin de vie : Doug Yule a remplacé John Cale et a même engagé ici son frère Billy Yule à la batterie, Mo Tucker étant alors en congé de maternité… Reste un live brut de chez brut.
