Liverpudlian indie pop practitioners Clean Cut Kid deliver on the promise of their previously released singles with their debut album. Felt was conceived as a document of a breakup, the first side charting the disintegration of a relationship and the second side projecting recovery and a burgeoning new relationship. The band approaches its subject through sharply honed hooks, punchy rhythms, and sweet-as-honey vocals. Felt was recorded in Liverpool and London with Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire), Cam Blackwood (Wolf Alice), and Rich Turvey (The Coral).
