C'est l'histoire de la corruption de l'enfance à la manière d'un écrou qui se referme sur les petits protagonistes. Cette oeuvre célèbre de Britten mélange le surnaturel sur un livret basé sur une nouvelle de Henry James, publiée en 1898. La version proposée ici est signée Daniel Harding qui avait fait triompher l'ouvrage lors du festival d'Aix-en-Provence, en 2001, dans une mise en scène saisissante de Luc Bondy. FH
