Ra´is

Omar Omeirat (born in 1995), also known as Ra’is, is a German rapper of Lebanese origins. After graduating from high school in 2013 and working odd jobs, Omeirat dabbled in criminal activities, which ultimately led to his arrest in 2014. He served a four-year sentence and was released in 2018. Shortly after, Omeirat started uploading acapella videos to his Instagram account, gaining over 100,000 followers in a short period of time. This caught the attention of music mogul Xatar, which offered him a record deal with his Alles oder Nix label. In 2019, his first two singles for the label, “Fliegen zum Mond,” and “Wieso?” accumulated millions of plays on streaming platforms and built anticipation around his studio debut. Omeirat delivered another two singles in 2020: “Sem7ini Mama,” a heartfelt letter to his mother, and “Sehe schwarz,” a joint effort with Xatar that peaked at Number 57 on the German charts. Hayat, his first full-length release, came out on May 6th, 2020 and featured all of the artist’s previous singles, plus collaborations with fellow rappers LOC and Sero El Mero.
