A sei anni di distanza dal loro ultimo lavoro di inediti -- l’apprezzatissimo Dystopia del 2016 -- i Megadeth pubblicano Sick, the Dying... and the Dead!, sedicesimo album in studio e primo della discografia con il batterista Dirk Verbeuren in formazione. Il titolo rimanda ai primi tre album del gruppo, a partire da Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good! del 1985, ma anche al cancro alla gola diagnosticato al frontman Dave Mustaine nel 2019 e oggi definitivamente sconfitto. Il ritorno in scena della band trash metal americana è esplosivo: non mancano riff frenetici, assoli potenti e ritmiche serrate. A lanciare il progetto sono i singoli “We’ll Be Back” e “Night Stalkers” con Ice-T.
