Sony Music pubblica nel 2002 questo doppio cd/raccolta di successi di uno dei piu’ prolifici cantanti americani, il country/rock singer Johnny Cash, in occasione del suo settantesimo compleanno. La raccolta, che comprende 36 brani, si concentra maggiormente sui primi anni della sua discografia, con i suoi album pubblicati dalle etichette Sun Records e Columbia. Troviamo brani storici e celeberrimi come “Hey Porter” , “Cry!Cry!Cry!”, “I walk the line”, “Get rhythm”, “The river”, alcuni brani scritti da Bob Dylan, da Jack Clement, da Kris Kristofferson, e due canzoni che non compaiono nella sua discografia solista ma che furono famose collaborazioni con altri artisti, come “Girl from the north country” uscito nell’album “Nashville skyline” di Bob Dylan e “The wanderer”, incluso nell’album “Zooropa” degli U2.
