Stephan Sulke

Stephan Sulke (aka Steff Sulke, aka Steff) is a German producer, songwriter, singer, author and multi-instrumentalist who was born in Shanghai, China because his Jewish parents had been forced to flee from Nazi Germany. Sulke is known as much for his music production and engineering, he was the engineer on several of the legendary 'Live at Montreux' recordings of the 1970s. Although his first notable recording, 'Mon Tourne-Disque', came out in France as early as 1963, it wasn't until 1982 that he had a modicum of mainstream success with his single 'Ushci', which reached number three in the ZDF Hit Parade. Despite a prolific career releasing singles, albums and EPs under his aliases and his real name, Sulke never achieved the heights of 'Uschi'. However, he has also published two novels, and his work in studio recording and technology and even real estate.
