Tras The Basement Tapes Raw en 2014, seguido al año siguiente por The Cutting Edge, la discográfica entrega una nueva y extraordinaria recopilación de Bob Dylan, Live 1962-1966 - Rare Performances from the Copyright Collections. Un conjunto de registros en directo del genio del folk, hasta el momento solo disponibles en ediciones muy limitadas y reunidos ahora en este doble con 29 cortes.
¡Ya solo la edición especial de la gira japonesa supone una auténtica joya! Unas grabaciones que no estaban en principio destinadas al público y que suenan estupendamente, hasta el punto de parecer que uno esté allí. Segundo punto fuerte: la etapa en cuestión. La etapa del Gerde's Folk City en 1962, donde Dylan ofrece su primer concierto, o el de sus míticas actuaciones en 1963 en el Ayuntamiento de Nueva York y en el Carnegie Hall, así como el de su dúo con Joan Baez durante la Marcha sobre Washington el 28 de agosto de 1963, o el de sus giras mundiales de 1965-1966. Y es que el artista pondría toda la carne en el asador durante esos años de búsqueda de una identidad musical propia. Pero además de proponernos la escucha del folk moderno y estilizado de sus comienzos, este Live 1962-1966 - Rare Performances from the Copyright Collections nos presenta también su primera época rockera, ya que a partir de 1964 Dylan se adentraría por nuevos caminos musicales. En el segundo CD la transición resulta evidente, especialmente en ese live de mayo de 1966 en el Capitol Theatre de Cardiff, donde interpreta una legendaria pieza de folk-rock: I Don't Believe You (She Acts Like We Never Have Met).
