Publié en 2019 et succédant à The Afterlove (2017), Once Upon a Mind constitue le sixième album studio de l'auteur-compositeur-interprète britannique James Blunt. Reprenant la recette de son prédécesseur, basée sur des textes introspectifs et une production pop rutilante, l'album, comme l'ensemble de sa discographie, mise essentiellement sur la voix de l'auteur du hit "You're Beautiful" (2005), particulièrement efficace dans les moments de vulnérabilité ("Monsters", "How It Feels to Be Alive") comme sur les hymnes "Champions" ou "Halfway" ou "I Told You" et "The Greatest", adressés aux enfants des générations futures. Fort du succès de sa formule, Blunt classe notamment son nouvel effort en troisième position des charts à domicile.
