Concert datant de 2007, qui, à l’époque, avait été repoussé deux fois, se passant au Shepherd Bush Empire de Londres et qui nous rappelle la flamboyance et l’énérgie de la chanteuse. Ce live intitulé I Told You I Was Trouble, porte bien son titre car Amy Winehouse était imprévisible et nombre de ses apparitions ont été ponctuées par des incidents, et un chaos permanent. Ce n’est heureusement pas le cas pour cet enregistrement où l’on retrouve les tubes planétaires tels Rehab ou Back to Black brillamment interprétés, ainsi que le Valerie, reprise des Zutons, enregistré par la belle avec le producteur Mark Ronson sur son album Version, sorti en 2007. Sur les seize morceaux qui constituent ce live, à noter également trois autres reprises, le Doo Wop (That Thing) de Lauryn Hill qu’Amy Winehouse enchaine à sa propre chanson, He Can Only Hold Her, et deux reprises du groupe mythique de ska mené par le non moins mythique Jerry Dammers, les Specials. Elle offre une belle version de Hey Little Rich Girl et choisit de finir son concert avec une version festive à point et très enlevée de leur Monkey Man… On constate que cette performance londonienne n’a rien perdu de sa fraicheur et immortalise pendant une heure une artiste exceptionnelle, une voix hors du commun, au charisme tel que l’on n’est pas près de l’oublier. Disparu malheureusement en 2011 à l’âge de vingt-sept ans, elle rejoint comme beaucoup l’ont souligné le fameux club des 27, rejoignant là Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison ou encore Kurt Cobain… Mais de celle qui se faisait appeler elle-même Trouble, on ne garde ici pour toujours que le meilleur. © Yan Céh/Qobuz
