Si Dance Fever, cinquième opus studio de la formation art pop Florence + The Machine, peut laisser entrevoir de par son titre et son trio de producteurs (Jack Antonoff, Dave Baiyley et Kid Harpoon) un recueil aux atours disco voire dancefloor, c'est plutôt du côté pastoral de Lungs (2009) ou How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015) qu'il faut lui chercher une continuité artistique. Car en réalité, c'est dans sa fascination pour le phénomène de choréomanie (forme d'hystérie collective poussant les individus atteints à danser jusqu'à l'épuisement ayant notamment été observée à Strasbourg en 1518) que Florence Welch aura puisé son inspiration pour ce qui s'avère constituer l'un de ses efforts les plus aboutis en date, rappelant notamment une nouvelle fois ses talents de vocaliste habitée sur des titres comme les singles "King" et "Free", participant tous deux à valoir au projet son cinquième numéro un à domicile d'affilée.
