JQT

JQT is a four-member South Korean girl group, comprising Min Jung, Ga Jin, Ji Eun, and Min Su, who made their debut under GP Entertainment in 2009. After releasing the digital single “BLING BLING,” along with a music video for "I Fell For You," on October 12, the girls began appearing regularly on various Korean television shows. Returning to the music scene with their second digital single “FOURFUME” on August 13, 2010, the quartet also released a music video for "No Need To Know," which was widely promoted on Korean music stations. After contributing an song for the soundtrack to Japanese anime series Shugo Chara!, JQT released two songs for the G20 2010 Seoul Summit, winning them their first award at the 18th Korean Culture Entertainment Awards on December 15, with their first mini-album, PeeKaBoo, appearing on January 13, 2011. The album reached number 51 on the charts, with singles “PeeKaBoo” and “No Need to Know” achieving rankings of 83 and 48, respectively. Shortly after announcing their entry into the American music scene in collaboration with American producer Melvin Brown and A&R Dwayne ‘D-Teck’ Grant, Min Sun left the group to pursue an acting career, and was replaced by Lee Jin Kyung. On December 17, 2011 JQT officially signed with Konvict Muzik, a label founded by American producer Akon, however the group disbanded a year later, seeing Min Jung, Ji Eun, and Ga Jin switch labels to re-debut as girl group S the ONE.
