NECRY TALKIE

ネクライトーキー, also known as Necry Talkie, is a Japanese pop-rock band fronted by vocalist Mossa. Ren Asahi, Decry Talkie's electric guitarist and chief songwriter, formed the group in 2017 in Sakai, Osaka, Japan. With bassist Aya Fujita and drummer Kazuma Takei completing the original lineup, the band began playing local shows in August 2017 and released a demo, "Taifu!," later that year. One, the band's full-length debut album, arrived in December 2018 and reached Number 29 in Japan. After releasing an EP called Memories in 2019, Necry Talkie left its independent record label and signed with Sony Music. Zoo!!, the group's first major-label release for Sony and second full-length album overall, was released in January 2020 and climbed to Number 17 on the Japanese charts. Zoo!! also marked the introduction of the band's newest member, keyboardist Ayaka Nakamura. With an expanded music palette that now made room for power-pop, J-pop, and contemporary punk-rock, the group retuned in 2021 with another album, Freak. The record reached Number 14 in Japan, with the track "全2曲+盤ごと異なる" (also known as "I'm Not Kidding") hitting Number 28 on the singles charts. A second EP, Memories2, was released in 2022. Torch arrived two years later.
