Les Amuse-Gueules

Quebec comedy duo formed in 1992 in Lasalle, Canada, by José Gaudet and Mario Tessier. They began their career performing at Cavelier-de-Lasalle high school under the name Les Amuse-Gueules. The name was changed to Les Grandes Gueules in the fall of 1993, when they began a radio comedy show called Le retour à la maison on Montreal radio station CKMF. In 1996, they released their first album of sketches and humor songs, Vol 94 3 , and presented their first concert tour, Les Grandes Gueules - Le Show en l'an 2000. The duo attracted over 100,000 spectators during this tour. In October 2001, they release their second album, Le Disque . The song " Les Ricky Écklésias ", linked to the popularity of singer Enrique Iglesias, becomes a hit on CKMF radio. In September 2002, the duo released a parody of the song " I'm Alive ", which they called " A m'énarve ". A few days later, Céline Dion's manager, René Angélil, filed a formal notice against the band and the radio station. This made the parody go viral on the Internet, and it became popular in many countries. In 2003, the duo released an album entitled Poursuite . In May 2007, the band put an end to their radio career, releasing a compilation entitled Il Était un Fois... les Grandes Gueules À la Radio. The following year, they presented a second show, Complices , which ran until December 2009. Les Grandes Gueules returned to radio on January 18, 2010, on the show Le retour à la maison, until May 2015, when the group went their separate ways.
