Freddy Lopez
Freddy Lopez is the host of the long-running New York-based public access television show El Show de Freddy Lopez. First aired in 1995, the self-described "freestyle-based variety show" has seen its viewing audience reach out of the East Coast tri-state area into Ohio and Puerto Rico. The show features short comedy sketches as well as musical performances by Latino artists and was nominated for Best Entertainment Access Show in 1999. 2001 saw the release of Estilo Libre: La Nueva Generacion, a compilation of standout musical performances from Lopez's show, featuring such artists as Joey Santana, Lisette Melendez, Chrissy I-Eece, and Jauvier Lopez, among others.
