FouKi

Part of a fresh crop of hip-hop coming out of Québec – so-called 'rap québ' - Léo Fougères aka FouKi (born on December 25, 1996, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) launched his career in 2016 with his mini-album Plato Hess, which was created with producer QuietMike. Another three QuietMike-produced mini-albums followed – Extendo, Sour Face Musique (in collaboration with Kevin Na$h), and Pre_Zay – with FouKi's debut album, Plato Zay, arriving in 2017 and infusing alternative hip-hop and trap with reggae and acoustic touches. He dropped the follow-up in 2018, Zay, with third album ZayZay rearing its head in 2019. In 2020, FouKi released a collaborative album with Koriass, Génies en herbe, along with his own album Grignotines de Luxe, which featured new instrumentals from QuietMike, along with collaborations from Pops & Poolboy from Clay and Friends, BYNON, Ruffsound, and Rousseau. FouKi has amassed an impressive number of awards and nominations since starting out, among these an album of the year nomination at ADISQ (2021) for Grignotines de Luxe, and the 2018 GAMIQ Prize for Artist of the Year - People's Choice, just to name a few. Zayon, FouKi's fourth LP, arrived in 2023 and was followed by a fifth album titled Rap Club later that year, featuring appearances by Avril Jensen, Souldia, Zach Zoya, Ridgely, Lost, Rymz, Shreez, Vendou, and many more.
