Eric Goulet

Éric Goulet is a country, folk and rock singer from Quebec. He was lead singer and guitarist of Possession Simple from 1986 to 1996. The group released two albums: Guerre d'Usure in 1992 and Cru in 1994. The song " Comme un cave " became their biggest career hit. In 1997, he founded the group Les Chiens and embarked on a career as a producer with artists such as Alexandre Belliard, Les Soeurs Boulay, Vincent Vallières and Yann Perreau. In 1998, his band released a self-titled debut album, followed by La Nuit Dérobée in 2000, which won the Félix award for Alternative Album of the Year in 2001. With his group Les Chiens, he won the 2004 SOCAN award for best song of the year with " Le Risque de l'habitude ". From 2001 to 2010, he also collaborated with the band WD-40, in addition to pursuing a solo career under the pseudonym Monsieur Mono. Under this alias, Éric Goulet released the albums Pleurer la Mer Morte in 2005, Petite Musique de Pluie in 2008 and Le Grand Nulle Part in 2018. Between 2011 and 2021, he released three country-sounding albums under his own name: Volume 1 in 2011, Volume 2 in 2014, and Goulet in 2021.
