Chaewon
South Korean singer Kim Chaewon (born October 8, 1997 in Gongju, Chungcheong province, Seoul), also known simply as Chaewon, gained prominence as part of the KARA Project where she finished in fourth place while also participating in DSP Media's Christmas album with "You Are the One". She cut her teeth as a vocalist and rapper in girl group April, debuting in 2015 with the song “Dream Candy", the lead track from its Dreaming EP, and scoring well-known tracks in “Tinker Bell” (2016), “April Story” (2017), “Oh! My Mistake” (2018) and “Lalalilala” (2020). She released "Clock", her first digital single, in May 2016 with Chaekyung and made her acting debut that same year in the web drama Reply Pyeongchang, 100% as the main female lead. Chaewon ended her contract with DSP Media in 2022, having filed a lawsuit against fellow member Lee Hyunjoo for spreading false information about her, including a bullying claim. She made her solo debut in August with a digital single titled "Tomorrow".
