A più di 86 anni, Willie Nelson è ancora attivo e quasi ogni anno pubblica nuovi dischi. Con il malinconico Ride Me Back Home (il suo 69° album in studio secondo i suoi esperti), il maestro del country hippie registra undici canzoni per lo più originali, scritte insieme al suo vecchio complice Buddy Cannon, mescolando il suo solito umorismo con passaggi dagli accenti nostalgici, anche apertamente realistici sulla sua età e sul tempo che passa (Come On Time).
