Composer and multi-instrumentalist Yann Tambour returns to his Stranded Horse moniker -- nowadays without the "Thee" -- following the release of Humbling Tides in 2011. Following a residency at the French institute in Dakar, Senegal, Tambour used material recorded during that time as the starting point for what would become Luxe. His assured acoustic guitar playing is paired with the kora of Boubacar Cissokho, the cousin and protégé of a previous Tambour collaborator, Ballake Sissoko. The band, augmented with the addition of a balafon and a fulani violin, will tour as a five- or six-piece throughout Europe in 2016.
