Cinquième album studio du groupe de rock britannique The Wombats, Fix Yourself, Not the World s’était déjà largement dévoilé par le biais de plusieurs titres envoyés en éclaireurs avant la sortie officielle : « Method to the Madness », « If You Ever Leave, I'm Coming with You », « Ready for the High » ou « Everything I Love Is Going to Die » avaient en effet déjà eu l’occasion d’aiguiser l’appétit des fans, en manque de sensations fortes depuis Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, qui datait déjà de 2018. Ils ne seront pas déçus puisque The Wombats ont décidé de faire fi de la pression et de se laisser guider par une certaine insouciance : ainsi les meilleurs morceaux de ce nouvel opus classé n° 1 au Royaume-Uni, dont font partie « Flip Me Upside Down » ou « This Car Drives All By Itself » sont-ils légers et sautillants et pourvues de mélodies hautement addictives. Ce virage presque pop sied à merveille par exemple à des titres que « People Don’t Change People, Time Does » ou « Work Is Easy, Life Is Hard ».
