Cuarteto de Saxofones de Santiago
The traditional rumba, merengue and bolero rhythms of Cuba are incorporated into the improvisational music of saxophone quartet, Cuarteto De Saxofones De Santiago. While the music of their homeland is essential to their sound, Cuarteto De Saxofones De Santiago take a more-worldly view. Their 1999 self-titled debut album included unique interpretations of Jerome Kern's "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" and the Beatles's "Michelle".
