Nel 1997 esce questa raccolta per la A&M Records, rieditata l’anno dopo dalla Polygram e nel 2002 dalla Universal, a nome del solo Sting, essendo il cantante inglese tra l’altro il principale compositore della discografia dei Police. Oltre ad alcuni brani della band divenuti veri e propri classici, come “Message in a bottle”, “Roxanne”, “Every breath you take”, ecco quindi alcuni successi di Sting solista, come “If you love somebody (set them free)”, “Russians”, “Fields of gold”, “Englishman in New York”, e viene incluso un remake di “Roxanne” ad opera di Puff Daddy. La compilation viene ampliata per le due riedizioni successive con l’aggiunta di altri tre brani.
