Elle n’est pas la première à le rappeler mais le jazz et la langue de Molière forment un couple solide, flamboyant, singulier et beau. Avec Encore, Virginie Teychené s’attaque non seulement à la chanson française mais elle pioche dans le répertoire des très grands interprètes tels que Claude Nougaro, Barbara, Léo Ferré, Bourvil ou Alain Bashung. Mais ce quatrième album comporte aussi d’autres sublimes chansons venues d’ailleurs. Des merveilles portées en leur temps par Joni Mitchell et Jobim. Avec ses complices Gérard Maurin à la contrebasse et à la guitare, Stéphane Bernard au piano, Jean-Pierre Arnaud à la batterie et Olivier Ker Ourio à l’harmonica, Virginie Teychené revisite chacune de ses compositions avec une classe folle et un swing de première catégorie.
