Osman Mir

Born on May 22, 1974, in Vayor, Kutch, Gujarat, India, Osman Mir is a playback singer who is best known for his work in Hindi cinema (Bollywood) and Gujarati cinema (Dhollywood). Interested in music at a young age, he began to learn to play table from his father. He began performing live when he was 13 and eventually became Shree Narayan Swami’s table player. He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 performing the song "Mor Bani Thanghat Kare" for the movie Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela. Since then, he has provided playback vocals for many films, singing songs such as “Bhor Bhayo” (from Bezubaan Ishq), "Me to chundadi odhi tara nam ni" (from the film of the same name), and many others. One of his most popular recordings is ”Nagada Sang Dohl,” a 2013 duet with Shreya Ghoshal (from the previously mentioned film movie Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela), which has garnered more than 170 million streams on social media. Throughout his career, Osman Mir has earned numerous honors including the Kutch Shakti Award, the Gujarat State Government Film Award, and many others.
