Heuss L'enfoiré

Karim Djeriou, aka Heuss l'Enfoiré, grabbed the spotlight with his collaboration with fellow French rapper Sofiane on the track “Woah” for his album 93 Empire and has continued to build momentum into 2019 with his first album and the Number 1 single “Khapta.” Djeriou was born in Gennevilliers, Hauts-de-Seine on August 11, 1992. He grew up in the city around La Sablière and later in Saint-Ouen and Seine-Saint-Denis before, aged 20, moving to Schaarbeek, Brussels. It was there that he began rapping under the pseudonym Heuss Heustler and signed to Espirit Music. In 2015, Djeriou began releasing videos and attracting attention and, along with the likes of Zepek and Soolking, taking part in freestyles with raps about life in the banlieues. His friendship with Soolking put him in the eye line of Sofiane, who invited him to rap on the track “IDF” for the album Affranchis and then on “Woah” for 93 Empire. Djeriou began gaining serious traction on the French-speaking hip-hop scene and in early 2019 released his debut album, En Esprit, peaking at Number 3 in the French charts and topping the singles charts with the song “Khapta.” That same year, the album obtained platinum certification on prime-time French TV after selling 100,000 copies. In the wake of the new decade, Djeriou teamed up with fellow MC Vald for the 2020 collaborative LP Horizon Vertical, which spawned the singles “Guccissima” and “Matrixé.” Horizon Vertical reached Number 20 in France, also charting in Belgium and Switzerland. Preceded by the single "Saiyan" with Gazo, his second studio offering Chef d'orchestre came out in 2023 and featured additional appearances by Ninho, Soolking, Nyma, and Wejdene.
