Nachdem sich Kollegah 2014 schon als "King" präsentierte, ist es nur konsequent, dass er 2016 auf seinem sechsten Album als "Imperator" auftritt. Wie gehabt inszeniert sich der Rapper als großer Gewinner mit noch größerem Ego und erzählt zu klassisch dicken Beats von üppigen Waffen, illegalen Aktivitäten und willigen Mädchen - klassischer Gangsta-Rap-Stoff eben. Nur gelegentlich schlägt er nachdenklichere Töne an, zum Beispiel auf "Zeit" und "Assassine". Als Produzenten sind unter anderem Joshimixu, Undercover Molotov, Hookbeats, Phil Fanatic und David x Eli an Bord, zu den Gästen zählen Farid Bang, Summer Cem, KC Rebell, Ali As und MoTrip. Neben dem regulären Album gibt es eine Deluxe-Version, die neben einer CD mit den Instrumentals und den obligatorischen Fan-Artikeln das Mixtape Hoodtape Volume 2 enthält.
