Trio Ernest

Trio Ernest has become known for fresh perspectives on the piano trio repertory, including works by women in each concert they perform. The group released its debut album, Haydn All-Stars, on the Aparte label in 2024. The members of Trio Ernest come from various European countries, but the group was formed in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2019. The trio comprises violinist Stanislas Gosset, cellist Clément Dami, and pianist Natasha Roque Alsina. Trio Ernest earned a master's degree at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, studying with violist Patrick Jüdt. The group held residencies at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium and the ProQuartet chamber music center in Paris, studying at the latter with Miguel da Silva, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, and the Artemis Quartet. The group took further lessons from violist and composer Mathieu Herzog, Trio Wanderer, and pianist Claire Désert at the Académie Ravel. Trio Ernest won prizes at such major events as Prix Pro Musicis (Paris), the Verao Classico Chamber Music Award (Lisbon, first prize), the Orpheus Competition (Zurich), and the Chamber Music Award of the ISA Festival (Vienna). The group's high-fashion publicity materials credit a clothing designer, Alain Prudent. Soon after its formation, Trio Ernest began to appear in prestigious chamber music venues and series such as the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Schoenberg Center in Vienna, and the Flanders Festival Ghent in Belgium, among many others. The group has been a draw at festivals, including Bozar Next Generation (at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels), the Swiss Chamber Music Festival, the Ravel Festival, and Les Schubertiades de Sion. Trio Ernest has amassed a long list of world-class collaborators, such as violist Noémie Bialobroda of the Aviv Quartet, cellist Ophélie Gaillard, and violinist Patrick Genet. The group released its debut album, Haydn All-Stars, on the Aparte label in 2024.
