Titom

TitoM is a South African producer and DJ whose amapiano sound is shaded with Bacardi house, quantum sound, and other regional dance styles. He cut his teeth in the late 2010s producing tracks for artists like Mellow & Sleazy and Nimrod Pitso, and collaborating with SjavasDaDeejay. He had widespread success in early 2024 with a string of popular tracks like "Mina" and the viral hit "Tshwala Bam." Hailing from Mamelodi, Pretoria, Thato Seth Mathobela began making music in his teenage years under the name TitoMusic, later shortened to TitoM. His early tracks were influenced by the regional Bacardi house style, but in the latter half of the 2010s, he shifted his focus to more of an amapiano approach. He co-produced the Jessica EP by Kota Embassy founder Nimrod Pitso, and had some early success with "Give Me Your Time," one of several tracks made with regular collaborator SjavasDaDeejay. In the early 2020s, TitoM contributed to a number of tracks by Mellow & Sleazy including hits like "Thesha" and "Imnandi lento." In late 2023, he began releasing his own songs in quick succession. "Woza La" was followed in early 2024 by tracks like "Aklaleki" featuring SjavasDaDeejay and Lington, and the breakout "Tshwala Bam" featuring S.N.E. and EeQue.
