The Lounge Society

West Yorkshire post-punk group the Lounge Society have a distinctly groovy, danceable feel to their music, aiming to get bodies moving while delivering precise social commentary and insight into rural life in Northern England. Meeting as school friends, the band consists of Cameron Davey (vocals/bass), Herbie May (guitar/bass), Hani Paskin-Hussain (guitar/bass), and Archie Dewis (drums). The band took a proactive approach to their music, sending out fleets of emails in the hope someone would latch on; that opportunity came when Speedy Wunderground owner Dan Carey responded, offering to record their debut single, 2020's "Generation Game." They continued working with Carey to release their debut EP, 2021's Silk for Starving, and their debut album, 2022's Tired of Liberty.
