Nazar
Austrian-Iranian rapper Nazar was born Ardalan Afshar in Tehran on September 20, 1984. Growing up in Vienna, he began to rap in 2006 and published several songs online in 2007. His first official single, "Streetfighter, Pt. 2," came in 2008, followed by his debut album, Kinder des Himmels; several successful MTV videos quickly made him one of Austria's most well-known rappers. After the 2009 album Paradox, he released 2010's Artkore, a collaboration album with fellow Viennese rapper Raf Camora. Nazar went on hiatus for most of 2010, but he returned with 2011's Fakker, his third solo album. Following a stint as a coach on the Austrian reality TV show Blockstars: Sido Macht Band, Nazar released Narkose in 2012. A follow-up to Fakker, 2013's Fakker Lifestyle, was another chart hit in Germany.
