Kate Price
Though she started as a backup singer for rocker Kenny Loggins, the solo recordings of Kate Price reveal a Celtic-style folk singer inspired by the cultural experimentation of Loreena McKennitt. From Santa Barbara, CA, Price first appeared in 1991 on Loggins' Leap of Faith album. She made her debut solo album The Time Between two years later for the Priceless label, and followed in 1995 with Deep Hearts Core. Price has also appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic; her third solo effort, Isle of Dreaming, followed in the spring of 2000.
