IMANU

Born Jonathan Kievit in Saint-Denis, Réunion, France on 14 November 1998, electronic producer IMANU began dabbling with house music as a teenager before turning his attention to drum & bass, fortuitously catching the attention of Dutch trio Noisia who took him under their Invisible Recordings wing as Signal. He was only 16 years old at the time, already laying solid foundations for a successful career in breaks-friendly dance music. After finding a spiritual music home in the Netherlands, he moved to Rotterdam to pursue his career and in 2018 co-founded the record label Dividid (stylised as DIVIDID) with Mark McCann (aka Abis) and Rotterdam-based promoter Lars Dingema. The label's first run of releases comprised a quartet of Signal EPs: The Wall featuring Abis, Doom Desire, Solitude, and Torment/2ME. He launched his IMANU alias in 2019 with the EGO EP Vision and followed it with the Mefjus-assisted Transit EP in 2020. A steady stream of solo and collaborative releases saw the light over the next few years, including 2021's house-adjacent "Buried" with Hypression and 2022's "Kotaro" with Jon Casey. In September 2022, he unveiled his debut full-length for Deadbeats, UNFOLD. He dropped a new single "Paradise" in 2023 and paired with Rotterdam-based vocalist Rhode for “Of Two Minds,” also released via Deadbeats.
