Ferrara

New York producer John Ferrara was active in the late-'70s and early-'80s disco scene, working on countless productions that took place in the glittery Studio 54 era. He used his last name for a string of releases where he conducted an expansive disco orchestra, culminating with the 1979 album Wuthering Heights. This often overlooked disco gem was a very loose interpretation of Emily Brontë's 1847 novel, not dissimilar from other albums at the time where classic works were used as the inspiration for studio epics. Ferrara issued several other singles around the same time, notably "Love Attack." In 1982 he released "I Gave My Heart to the Pacman," a single inspired by the then topical arcade game craze and featuring Sally Hoo on lead vocals.
