Emily Heller
Originally based in San Francisco, comedian and writer Emily Heller has captivated audiences with her sharp-witted yet relaxed and conversational, slightly self-deprecating standup routines about topics such as feminism, city life, and being single. A graduate of University of California Santa Cruz, Heller got her start in the San Francisco comedy scene during the late 2000s, and was named one of the "7 Funniest People in Town" by 7x7 Magazine in 2011. After moving to New York City that year, she appeared on New York Stand-Up Show, Conan, Chelsea Lately, and many other comedy programs. She has performed at numerous comedy festivals, including the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal, the San Francisco Sketchfest, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland. Both Variety and Comedy Central have named her a Comic to Watch. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2014 and wrote for the Fox series Surviving Jack, and she had an acting role on the second season of the TBS series Ground Floor. In 2015, Heller signed to Kill Rock Stars and released her first comedy album, Good for Her.
