DOØL

Dool is a rock band from the Netherlands that was founded in 2015. Based in Rotterdam, the band consists of Raven van Dorst on vocals, bassist Job van de Zande, drummer Micha Haring and Nick Polak and Reinier Vermeulen on guitars. Stylistically, Dool move between progressive rock and doom metal with elements of psychedelic rock and gothic rock. In addition to The Sisters of Mercy and Sonic Youth, the band was influenced by alternative rock bands such as Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Dool gain greater attention at the Roadburn Festival 2016, whereupon they receive a record deal with Prophecy Productions. A year later, Dool release their debut album Here Now, There Then. The album reaches number 46 in the German charts. The EP Love Like Blood follows in 2019. The single "Love Like Blood" on it is a cover version of the song by Killing Joke from 1985. After various appearances, including at Hellfest, the second studio album Summerland follows in 2020. The longplayer climbed into the German top 10 at number 9. 2023 saw the release of the live album Visions of Summerland (Live at Arminius Church). The next studio album, The Shape of Fluidity, followed a year later. The album reaches number 17 in the German charts.
