Su You-peng (September 11, 1973), better known by his stage name Alec Su, is a Taiwanese actor, singer, and film director. Born in the city of Taipei, he rose to fame in the late 1980s as a member of the boy band Xiao Hu Dui (The Little Tigers), one of the precursors of the idol group format in the Taiwanese music industry. Thanks to his work with the group, Alec Su achieved unprecedented popularity throughout Asia and made his acting debut in 1990 in the film Wandering Heroes. Since the unveiling of his first solo effort, I Only Want You to Love Me, in 1992, he has released over a dozen albums in both Mandarin and Cantonese that solidified his reputation as one of the biggest names in Taiwanese pop music. Even though his last studio album, Before and After, appeared in 2004, Alec Su has since issued a string of scattered singles such as "Xiang Jian Tai Wan" (2004) from the soundtrack of the TV series Destiny by Love and "Tame Coat" (2019). In 2023, he returned with the track "Awakening of a Rose," which peaked at Number 19 on China's Tencent Music chart. Apart from his music endeavors, Alec Su is also a renowned actor who has won awards for his roles in the films The Message (2009) and A Tibetan Love Song (2010).
