Le 5e album studio du légendaire guitariste Eric Clapton. Le titre vient du surnom dont la star britannique se voyait régulièrement attribuer. C’est l’un des disques les plus populaires de Clapton puisqu’il contient les 3 tubes Lay Down Sally, Wonderful Tonight et Cocaine. Le talent du guitariste et des musiciens qui l’accompagnent se fait ressentir sur chacune des chansons qui composent Slowhand, ce qui n’est pas forcément une mince affaire quand on sait que les titres alternent entre des styles variés allant du blues pur à la country en passant par le rock et la pop.
