« Schumannienne de cœur, Dana Ciocarlie a réalisé, durant plus de quatre ans, l’enregistrement de l’intégrale pour piano de son compositeur de chevet. Devant le public de la salle du Palais de Béhague, à l’ambassade parisienne de Roumanie, elle a méthodiquement engrangé une intégrale en quinze concerts qui perce les secrets de l’âme schumannienne, cet univers empreint de mystères, d’angoisse, d’allusions, entre la mélancolie d’Eusebius et l’enthousiasme de Florestan. [...] la prouesse est de taille, qui consiste à maîtriser un discours parfois arachnéen, aux limites de la rupture (Sonates nos 2 et 3). La générosité, l’humanité se dégagent toutefois tout au long de ce parcours, mélange de ferveur et de simplicité de ton.
