Le disque démarre avec le tout jeune George Benson, enfant, s'essayant à l'art délicat du chant, interprétant déjà l'un des hits de son idole, Nat King Cole. Le petit garçon était rudement doué, cette version de Mona Lisa qui ouvre l'album ne laisse aucun doute. Just One Of Those Things qui enchaine est sur-vitaminé. La prise de son, le mixage, les moyens orchestraux, big band ou orchestre à cordes selon les plages (scores signés de la plume de Nelson Riddle pour le Henri Mancini Institut Orchestra), les invités triés sur le volet pour quelques duos (Idina Menzel ou la jeune étoile montante Judith Hill au chant, Wynton Marsalis à la trompette)et George Benson en très grande forme (toujours !) au service de la musique de celui qui le faisait rêver enfant. Et qui continue de chanter Mona Lisa, soixante ans plus tard, comme on l'entend dans la dernière plage de ce disque sans surprise mais de bonne facture.
