The Jonbenet
Noisy indie rock/grunge revivalists the Jonbenét (no doubt named after the murdered child beauty pageant contestant Jon Benet Ramsey) tastefully christened themselves their stage name in the summer of 2003 in Houston, TX. After self-releasing a five-song EP and a seven-song demo on the local music circuit, the band was approached by Pluto Records and was immediately signed to a deal. Pluto released The Plot Thickens, which was a comprehensive collection of the band's work to date, later releasing the full-length Ugly/Heartless in May 2006.
