Tarcy Su

Tarcy Su (October 27, 1970) is a Taiwanese singer and actress who enjoyed great popularity in the 1990s with a series of commercially acclaimed pop albums released via Rock Records. Born in the city of Taipei, she made her official debut in 1990 with the LP Let Everything Go. The album was a smashing success and quickly established Tarcy Su as one of the most promising talents in the Mandopop scene. In the mid-90s, she reached the peak of her artistic career, and the instant classics Lemon Tree (1996), Duck (1996), and The Fool (1997) finished catapulting her into stardom. In the early aughts, Tarcy Su severed ties with Rock Records and devoted herself to acting, starring in films like La Mélodie d'Hélène (2004) and Blue Cha Cha (2005). The Taiwanese singer would later return to music on the albums Tarcy Su (2006) and Left Hand Revolving Door (2007), both released through Shanghua Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music. Following a thirteen-year hiatus, she made a much-awaited comeback on 2020's Every Side of Me.
