Sunday Girl

Named after the label given to her by her former pet shop colleagues, and not the Blondie song, Sunday Girl is folk-electronica singer/songwriter Jade Williams. Born in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire in 1988, Williams developed a love of singing from an early age but, crippled by shyness, she was taken to a hypnotherapist by her mother at 17 in a bid to cure her stage fright, a move that later gave her the courage to perform in various covers bands. After studying design at Wimbledon College of Arts, she signed a deal with Geffen Records and released her first single, "Four Floors," in 2010. Following a cover of Laura Branigan's "Self Control," she supported Ellie Goulding on her Lights tour and worked with Diplo (Robyn) and Jim Elliot (Kylie, Ladyhawke) on her debut album.
