PANTyRAID's Josh Mayer (Ooah from Glitch Mob) and Martin Folb (Martyparty) formed their EDM duo in 2008, taking influences from Ibiza, French house, dubstep, and hyphy hip-hop. The West Coast producers teamed up with the purpose of making dance songs that paid attention to song structure rather than simple four-on-the-floor beats. PANTyRAID's 2009 debut, The Sauce, found them succeeding in their mission, and Glitch Mob's Glass Air label released their complex follow-up, Pillowtalk, in 2013. The same label also issued 2016's Afterglow, which charted high in Billboard's Top Electronic Albums, thanks in part to the singles "Wanting Moves" and "6 AM." The duo promptly began touring the album, kicking off with appearances at Coachella.
