May'n

Mei Nakabayashi (born on October 21, 1989 in Nagoya, Japan) (known as May'n) is a Japanese singer. Debuting her first single “Crazy Crazy Crazy” on April 27, 2005, Mayb followed this with “Sympathy” and “Fallin’ in or Not” featuring Japanese hip hop artist SEAMO. In 2008, she was cast as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome; a character in anime series Macross Frontier, releasing two singles "Diamond Crevasse / Iteza Gogo Kuji Don't be late" and “Lion” with both songs debuting in the top 3 of the Oricon Weekly Charts. Mini-album May’n Street in January 2009, attracted similar chart success, followed by the title track to anime series Shangri-La “Kimi Shinitamō Koto Nakare” on May 6, 2005. Styles, Mayn’s first full studio album, released in November 2009 was followed by a sold-out concert. Her 2010 album Cosmic Cuune (performed as Sheryl Nome) was soon followed by her 3D Live documentary: May’n The Movie: Phonic Nation, followed by her third album, If you…, peaking at number 7 on the charts. Collaborating with Japanese music artist Daisuke Asakura, May’n recorded “Scarlet Ballet” and “Chase the World” the opening themes to anime series’ Aris the Scarlet Ammo and Accel World. Her next two albums Heat and New World, released in 2012 and 2014 debuted at number 5 and 6 respectively. Continuing to record themes to popular anime series including Aquarion Logos, Izetta: The Last Witch, and Restaurant to Another World, May’n made several appearances at various anime festivals throughout Asia and America, with her 6th and 7th studio albums Peace of Smile and Yell released in October 2017 and 2019 respectively.
