Liquido
A musical union between four friends – Wolle Maier (drums, programming), Wolfgang Schrödl (vocals, guitar, keyboard, piano), Stefan Schulte-Holthaus (bass) and Tim Eiermann (vocals, guitar) – alternative rockers Liquido formed in 1996 in Sinsheim, Germany and by 1998 had scored their first major hit. With its electropop edge and rockier chorus, "Narcotic" – featured on the group's debut EP of the same name – peaked at Number 3 in Germany and became Liquido's best-known song. Their debut major-label album Liquido followed in 1999, spawning the hits "Doubledecker" and "Clicklesley". Liquido turned in another two major-label albums – 2000's At the Rocks and 2002's Alarm! Alarm! – while also issuing a best-of, The Essential, in 2004. The band joined the team at German-born indie label Nuclear Blast for their fifth album Float (2005), but split up following the release of Zoomcraft in 2008.
